The Heart of the U.P.’s

OFF ROAD Capital

A crossroads of central U.P. trail systems, Gwinn offers seamless access to miles of ATV and UTV routes that connect you deep into wild forests and backcountry roads. The DNR’s “G‑Route North” ORV corridor spans 65 miles right through Gwinn and surrounding township, perfect for wide‑open exploring on all-terrain vehicles. In our backyard lies the Bass Lake Motorcycle Trail, a 24-mile scenic, twisty loop tailor-made for dirt bikes, winding through a dense hardwood forest and offering both rugged thrills and natural beauty. Plentiful fuel, food, and access to major-brand dealerships a few miles away, you’ll have everything you need before you hit the trail or right when you come roaring back in.

This region is your gateway to wild and well-served off-road freedom.

RIDING TIPS

Complete a pre-ride vehicle inspection

Wear a helmet

Have a paper map of trails you wish to operate on, for cell service may be unavailable in some areas. Maps can be found on the MDNR website.

Create a ride plan: Leave someone with a plan of action, whether it be where you parked, expected time of arrival back home, check-in points, or planned routes.

How to yield, protect, stay safe, and enjoy your time on the trails.
