WATERFALLS

While Forsyth Township has a few small, hidden cascades of its own, our central location makes it easy to set out on day trips to some of the most breathtaking waterfalls in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. From the rushing drops of Laughing Whitefish Falls and Wagner Falls to the rugged beauty of Dead River and Yellow Dog Falls, dozens of scenic spots are within an hour or two of your U.P. Adventure Basecamp. Each season paints these waterfalls in a different light—spring thaws bring roaring torrents, summer offers lush green surroundings, autumn frames them in brilliant color, and winter transforms them into frozen sculptures.
